How do I know my Partner?

1. Seeking God's face: "Ask, and it shall be given unto you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you. For every one that asketh receeiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened." Matt 7:7-8.

How do I seek? 

  • You need to get busy in the house of God, be in love and fellowship. Read 👉🏾 Psalms 37:4, John 9:9.
  • Set a model and unbiased standard, have a specific desire but avoid being exclusive, let God have His way. Prov 19:21.
  • Attend Christian fellowship meetings and retreat programmes. 
2. Look, Wait, Listening 
  • Look: Look in the right places, set your eyes right! 
  • Wait: Do not jump into conclusion like Samuel did; instead, go back to your closet to pray specific prayers (pray and fast) do not just rush into decision. 
  • Listening: How to receive God's choice. Modes of hearing from God can be explored. Allow God to speak to you. 
  1. Inner voice or still small voice 
  2. Audible voice 1Sam 3.
  3. Word of knowledge Ps 119:105-110.
  4. Dreams: You may use other methods to confirm the dreams, vision and revelation. 
  5. Godly Counsel: Take counsel from Pastors and ministers of God with proven integrity. 
  6. Word of Prophecy: It can come from someone that is led by the spirit of God; but then, you have to verify it does not run contrary to the words of God. This is why you must know how to hear God on your own accord, so that you will not be misguided by the present day fake prophets or soothsayers. Matthew 7:15, John 4:1.
Beware of false prophets, test all prophecies, it must not contradict the word of God. 

CONVICTION BETWEEN PARTIES
What is Conviction in the choice of marriage to partners?
Conviction is not to entertain any doubt. It is a strong belief. It is to be fully persuaded. It tells you that there is no fear. It is an inner satisfaction! Every intending couple must be satisfied in their inner mind and be all round convinced as to their choice in marriage. It is a pity today that statistically, Christian homes have the highest record of divorce cases. This is due to the fact that the choice of marriage should not only be religiously approached, but must include other considerations, like degree of compatibility and other needful necessities.
In conclusion, allow God to choose for you so that you would not regret your choice, and in for you to enjoy your family life. Remain blessed!

Marriage is the legally or formally recognized union of two people as partners in a personal relationship (historically and in some jurisdiction, specifically a union between a man and a woman.  God established the family from the beginning of creation, a family is the smallest unit of the society. The family life begin with Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden. Regrettably, man has introduced many ways to distort the family which God holds in high esteem, despite the fact that God designed the family for a purpose.  The problems plaguing the family started from the first family till date, if the foundation of the family is destroyed, there is no way the purpose which is meant for man's comfort can be realised.
