Youths of Marriageable Age

Age has something to do with marriage. Therefore, these are the qualities expected from each youth before stepping into marriage. In Galatians, chapter 5,verses 22 and 23: "But the fruit of the spirit is love, joy peace, patient, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control..."
  1. LOVE: Such youth must have love. He or she must be able to allow the Holy Spirit to the extent of forgiving everybody who offends him/her. He or she should not keep malice with anybody. 
  2. JOY: He or she must be capable to control his or her temper, always viewing things with simple heart, giving room to the Spirit. 
  3. PEACE: He or she must not feel proud but be at peace with others. 
  4. PATIENCE: He or she must allow the Spirit to guide him/her in making decision. He/she must be a goal getter but should not be stampede to get it at all cost. Walking in line with the divine agenda is the best, slow and steady wins the race. God has His divine program for each of us, wait patiently to achieve it.
  5. KINDNESS: He or she must not be wicked. He or she must have feelings for others, not selfish, having good report from people. 
  6. GOODNESS: he or she must display good behaviors to people with plain mind. He or she must not be deficient in moral standard. 
  7. FAITHFULNESS: He or the must have sound knowledge of the word of God, in order to hold on to the truth which will enhance his/her faithfulness to God. This will avert wrong doctrine in his/her heart. 
  8. GENTLENESS: Must be easy to approach, easy to correct, easy to take correction, be submissive to authority. 
  9. SELF-CONTROL: He or she must discipline himself or herself on things that can make one fall into sin also things that have temporary enjoyment but which bring everlasting pain.
           THINGS AFFECTING TODAY'S YOUTH

  • COMPUTER: Avoid the negative impact of computer because it destroys without remedy. 
  • PORNOGRAPHIC PICTURES: It makes one to be carnal and be ruined for life. It causes nakedness and makes one vulnerable. 
  • BLUE FILM: This immoral film has led to the fall of many. 
  • MASTURBATION: This is done privately to one's body to enjoy sexual excitement. It destroys and weaken your libido. It makes one to have spiritual wife/husband. 
Marriageable age is from 25years old and above,  if the youth is a brother and 22 years above for sisters. 

Advice for the over aged singles:
  1. Don't marry an unbeliever, your own bone is in body of Christ, don't let anybody mislead you. Ps 27:14.
  2. Don't stop attending singles' meeting to show that you are still single.
  3. Don't go for vision from prophet, you may be misled.
  4. Let your Pastor be praying for you periodically.
  5. As a Sister, if you are the one who first see the will of God before the man, see your Pastor, don't feel shy.

WHAT IS MARRIAGE? Marriage is the legally or formally recognized union of two people as partners in a personal relationship (historically and in some jurisdiction, specifically a union between a man and a woman.  God established the family from the beginning of creation, a family is the smallest unit of the society. The family life begin with Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden. Regrettably, man has introduced many ways to distort the family which God holds in high esteem, despite the fact that God designed the family for a purpose.  The problems plaguing the family started from the first family till date, if the foundation of the family is destroyed, there is no way the purpose which is meant for man's comfort can be realised. Wedding Rehearsal / Church Responsibility
